They are i- Pad Nutty Now
by Poztate inso many at my wife's hall have rushed to buy i-pads,androids etc for use in servicetm and at the hall.. most know little or nothing about how to use them but have joined the stampede to jw.org tm and the reinvention of the wtbts.. it prompted one elder at my wife's hall to have a seminar at his house to explain how to use them in service and at the hall.. how exciting.... one 80 year old pioneer woman will be there with her new toy.. as a distraction it seems to be working quite well.
no need to worry about 1914 or other issues.. they are all nuts and getting nuttier....

Yep, I had on an 80+ year old bro from my old hall pop around the day before the memorial to:
a) causally see if i wanted to buy his engineering stuff off him before he moves house. (i had stuff off him years ago)
b) invite me to memorial as an afterthought.
Anyhoo, in conversation he wouldnt shut up about his new tablet and all the things it could do... This is someone who never had a computer until i gave him one about 8 years ago and doesnt have money to waste.

I agree welsh is a dead / dying language. I understand the desire to preserve it but wasting millions and millions on double printing every damn little thing for the sake of the few is just stoooopid.
The WTs efforts previously didnt quite hit the spot i believe as it was not everyday welsh used but posh / northern variety or something and most welsh around here didnt like it much. Those involved thought alot of themselves too as plenty of bragging was to be heard when they translated the brochures about 20 years ago.

I would imagine this sort of thing goes on but have my doubts it would be externally hired consultants.
I can see a team of dedicated company men high up in bethel or even spread around the globe sitting on secret commitees and meeting regularly for just these reasons.

Ahhh Dagnabbit
by Jon Preston inwell afyer two months i get a message from an elder wanting to go out in service a few nights a week and to hang out more....i must now be labelled in the spiritually weak and reach out to group in my hall.
my hall is very nice and so are the people but dagnabbit i hate small towns.... i wonder if i should say no or just nite the bullet on behalf of our fade...hmm decisions.

by bohm in"ladies and gentleman of the jury.. my client is accused of a serious crime, the crime of letting his 160 pounds pitpull terrier 'muppy' maul the neighbours two kid to death for calling his good friend bob fat.. ladies and gentlemen we must put aside our emotions and consider all relevant information in the complicated ethical situation my client found himself in that fatefull afternoon when he let loose 'muppy' on those kids and watched her gulp down their bloodied remains.. in particular there are two very important and indisputable facts to which i wish to direct your attention.
the first is the neighbours kids was teenagers, age 15 and 17, and as such should understand the clear and obvious moral relationship between calling someone fat and letting your pitbull terrier eat someone alive.
there is no, despite what some may think, moral equivalency between these two acts.

When god kills, or orders to be killed by his minions, men, women, yoofs, children, toddlers and babes in arms it's obviousy for a very good damn reason and we are well minded to keep schtum about it ...
But, let's just think for a moment instead eh.
He either doesnt exist and religiously blinded communities and individuals use his "authority" to excuse whatever they want excused, or else he does exist and is a total utter asshole who doesnt deserve anything but contempt and if possible to be exterminated as a danger to all.
The other option could be that he exists and people have misrepresented him as an evil asshole, in which case he has done nothing but go into hiding and hope no one has noticed.
My opinion is he has never existed at all and all the gods man has ever made up have had cruel evil and obvious HUMAN qualities and traits. Yahweh is no exception. But he's still an asshole.
